In the past 15 years of my professional career, I have been able to advise a large number of companies in Germany - from medium-sized hidden champions to DAX companies. My passion is the strong support of medium-sized companies in the various phases of restructuring to guide them back on the growth path. During my work as an interim manager (CRO, CFO), I was responsible for both the creation of concepts (reorganization reports according to IDW S6, planning plausibility checks, liquidity planning, Independent Business Review IBR, etc.) and the successful implementation of these concepts and the transfer of the companies into the subsequent growth phase.
My career began with my initial vocational training as a bank clerk. This was followed by my graduation in economics at the University of Bonn, which I completed with honors. I followed this with a doctorate at WHU and the Wharton School of Business. Today, I am still actively involved in research projects on restructuring and crisis management.
Before I changed to restructuring consultancy, I worked for the Toyota Formula 1 Team until 2007, where I was responsible for the coordination of the production of carbon fiber composite vehicle parts. Subsequently, I worked for several years in a well-known German restructuring consultancy (international) as a project manager for the creation and active implementation of restructuring concepts in the automotive, mechanical engineering and plant construction sectors. In addition to the development of business and performance management concepts, I have since then taken on numerous operational interim and management mandates as CRO (also in the executive body) and actively supported managing directors and stakeholders in regaining the profitability of their companies.
